Airasia refunds me RM 297
This is not the first time I have taken on big Public Listed companies and won for the small consumer like myself. Everyone can win if you know how and what to do!.
So far Giant has replaced a TV for me, Carrefour has given me free products and refunds in the hundreds, Telekom Malaysia has refunded me just over a thousand, and now Airasia has just refunded me close to three hundred.
It’s not the money but the principle - and if you feel you are right, don’t let the big boys try to bully you. If you are cocksure you are right, then go ahead and persistently and consistenly follow up your complaint and you can surely win.
So what did airasia refund me? -
1. A duplicate reservation due to their system jamming up during their busy sale period. RM 175
2. Drop in departure tax when KLIA flights shifted to LCCT - RM40
3. 4 cancelled flights - refund of departure tax - local both ways and international outgoing only - RM82
It feels really good to have won a good fight - it took me 1 trip to the KL Sentral office (actually to pick up some friends and casually drop in the Airasia office) & 5 emails.
Some friends say there will be people who will pay me to teach them how to complain effectively and get the results we want. I think my friends could be right.
