It’s another birthday in the family, and tonight we celebrate Andrea, my 2nd girl’s 17th birthday. Has to be tonight as she is busy at school till 7pm.

Funny how birthdays bring back lots of flashbacks from 17 years past. And looking back, I think its wonderful to still keep happy memories of the past.

I’m truly proud of her and her achievements. She’s been 1st in class, had 7As in her UPSR, had 16As during her PMR exams, has been the organising chairman of many school activities, represents her school in a Bahasa Malaysia Forum,  and is the Scout Troop Chairman. A true accomplishment considering she is a non chinese in a chinese private school.

I’ve been asking her to write an ebook giving tips to other students how she balances her time to achieve so much, yet still finds the time to prepare for her Grade 7 piano exams, and volunteers at an orphanage.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. That’s why all elected representatives, must be of the highest transparancy and credibility, both morally and ethically.

Voters in USA, and soon in Malaysia will soon go to the polls to elect a government to serve the people - not the elected cronies.

On March 8th saturday, please vote to secure rights to free and fair education, job, housing and business opportunities, for yourself. And if you plan to make Malaysia your retirement home, the rights of your future generations too!.

As a final note, all the strong economies of the world like Japan, Taiwan, USA, UK, Germany to name a few, have divided 50-50 governments, to keep a check and balance and ensure policies and government spending favours the rakyat, and not just a few people or a certain party or race.

The Power to choose your own future, is in your hands. May the force be with you!.

Some people complain they don’t get paid enough, and cannot keep up with rising prices. Does that sound familiar?.

Well I hope the comic strip above will give you a clue - to earn more, you have to become better at what you do. And we have to continously keep learning new skills. If we fall behind either in technology or knowledge, someone younger will always be there, to take our place - at a cheaper price!.

So don’t complain - hoping to Have more, so you can Do better and then Be better.

Do something about it. Spend 1 hour daily to learn a new skill, so that you can Be better, Do better and certainly will Have more.

I tell all my friends this - you cannot make money and make excuses. So if you are making excuses, then you cannot make money.

Remember, there’s little money in easy work, but big money in the things most people consider difficult work. However most people are willing to work hard for 30+ years till they retire.

So what about if you can work hard for 3-5 years and then retire, like me, and still have a monthly leveraged income flowing in, whether I work, travel or play?

It’s a simple choice to become successful in anything you do, and a simple choice to make excuses why it cannot be done and complain and blame everyone else.

I thought of doing something different this year and go touch and fill the heart of someone I have never met before. So early this morning, I went to donate blood at the National Blood Bank at Jl Tun Razak - just opposite the KL General Hospital.

So one day soon, my blood will be saving some stranger’s life and filling someone’s heart with love directly. Wow what a thought to have.

So how much is 450cc worth of blood, 2 new holes in my finger and arm and 1 hour of my time worth?. Well it’s worth exactly 6 iron pills, 6 folic acid pills, 1 hot milo, 1 packet drink, 1 banana, 3 sardine sandwiches and 1 packet of nasi lemak About RM5 don’t u think?.
