March 8th is a significant date - it’s International Women’s Day, someone’s birthday party and also the 12th General Elections in Malaysia.

For my non malay speaking friends - puteri means princess in malay, and for my non Malaysian readers, Pak La is malay for uncle Abdullah - the Prime Minister of Malaysia and Samy is a Minister who (should have retired a long time ago) says he will be standing for elections the last time.
