Fitna the new video on YouTube angers muslims

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Why do some people in Netherlands, still come up with sensitive issues like the movie Fitna uploaded on YouTube that touches on the Islam religion?. What’s in it for them?.

Religoin is a personal choice and no one has the right to condemn or insult other religions.

By making other religions look bad, it does not show your religion to be good.

The best way to prove your religion is better is to be a better person sharing your love and peace, whether a Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or Hindu.

Abundant blessings to you always.

Verify if or be sued in court

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

One of Malaysia’s famous bloggers Raja Petra Kamaruddin or RPK for short, just lost a RM 7 million court case for slander. Here is the article that appeared in The Star on Wednesday 26 March 2008.

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/3/26/nation/20080326194316&sec=nation

So to all bloggers and mass mailers, just be careful that any information you wish to share, can be verified by some physical evidence or comes from a reputable source.

We get so caught up on the internet, that sometimes fiction becomes the truth if we hear others speak about it or we read multiple emails from different souces  - much the same as scams.

Just be safe rather than sorry and if unsure, you can quote what others have written, and make a note that you write for clarification and advice to confirm, if the quoted article is true.

How do you select a baby’s name?

Batman_suparman

Imagine this guys parent’s sense of humour. Growing up with such a name.

So how did or will you name your future children?. After your favourite hero, actor, actress, sportsman or villan?. Or after your grandparents and parents?

Well I chose to name my 3 girls using uncommon names, but with their first names starting with the first character. I guessed it would help them be in front of every list and much easier to find too.

So I settled with Audrey Tricia, Andrea Trudy and Adrienne Trina. Nice names don’t you agree?.

Do you support the player or the team?

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

At the 10th Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix at Sepang on Easter Sunday, Kimi Raikkonnen from Team Malboro Scuderia Ferrari, won the race.

I see some people supporting the driver, others the team and even others the Nationality of the driver or team.

In my opinion the prettiest car is the silver Mclaren Mercedes, but my favourite driver I cheer for, is Kimi. He’s really cool and has good character to be a world champion.

it’s one of my favourite spectator sports, but then again. the saying is it’s better to play rather than watch. It’s not that I don’t have the skill, but i prefer to focus on other skills that can earn me a leveraged income.

What is your main concern as MP

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Read the Star 19March page N14 about Khairy Jamaluddin, stating his main concern is the Opposition.

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/3/19/nation/20692440&sec=nation

As an elected Member of Parliment (MP), shouldn’t your main concern be to serve your constituents, the mess within your own party and the country?.

How could anyone elect such a narrow minded, self serving and vengeful person to be an MP?.

I pray all our MPs don’t have the same objectives, or else, every parliment sitting will be a battle, just to show who is stronger and more powerful.

Wake up all you MPs - the people elected you in, likewise they can elect you out, if you don’t get the right job done to the best of your ability, without waste and corruption.

2008 Malaysian Cabinet

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Following the recent 12th Malaysian General Elections, the Barison National coalition, won 140 of the 222 parliment seats to form the new government.

Yesterday 18th March, the new government line-up was announced and here’s an update.

27 ministries, with 32 ministers, 2 special advisors - (only 1 exposed) and 37 deputy ministers, 0 parlimentary secretaries.

Is that a bit much for a small country of 26 million population?. Too many ‘chiefs’ and not enuf ‘indians’ ? Australia is much bigger in land area with 20 million people and they only have 12 ministries. Makes you wonder, if we are so inefficient.

Life isn’t Fair

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

Life_isnt_fair

Sometime we work too hard and fail to work smart. Then blame everyone else but ourselves for our lack of success.

Just something I thought I’d share with you to brighten up your day!.

Work harder on yourself than on your job. Only then will your skills increase and you are ready to take on bigger things in life.

If opportunity knocks, will you be ready to hear it, open the door and accept something bigger?

Or will you still be busy complaining to everyone else, that you fail to hear the knock, or too busy to open the door or use your eyes and not your vision to see the opportunity?.

Give and Take

Monday, March 17th, 2008

First the new Opposition Penang Chief Minister waives all parking and illegal hawker fines upon taking office last week, and this week, the Opposition Perak Chief Minister does the same. Both these state governements were with DAP majority.

But I feel they have done it wrongly. If they are to really help the people, they should have asked them to come forward with their fines for cancellation, and give suggestions on how the new government can help solve their parking and hawking problems, so it does not happen again.

Only then, will the people see the new Opposition government as a caring and listening administration. Not as a Santa Clause, dishing out freebies to the citizens.

Well the pressure is now on the Opposition Selangor Chief Minister to do the same. But will he, as the state majority is held by PKR and not DAP?.

In a win-win situation, there is always give and take, and the DAP majority state governments, should have taken the suggestions from the people in exchange for the cancellation of the fines.

I hope lessons are learnt and not repeated.

Eat to Live or Live to Eat?

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

Some people have been contacting me asking me to update this blog with the current policital situation and my opinions.

But I’ve been quite busy consulting with some people and also had a few visitors to KL the last week.

Was at the Jusco Mid Valley Laksa Garden with Elise from KK and had the Nasi Lemak. Didnt quite like the sambal and the portion is just too small.

On Tuesday went to Ampang Yong Tau Foo with Victor from Singapore, for lunch and between the 2 of us, we finished 30 pieces - wow. that was good and filling. Price went up to 80 sen per piece since my last visit.

Yesterday Wednesday, went to Madam Kwans at Pavilion with Victor and Taufik from Miri. Quite dissappointing dinner, but then again, I guess it was my second dinner, after having eaten dinner earlier at home.

Then went to Starbucks to talk some business over coffee, while doing some window shopping (read people watching).

Today, a friend Alice is coming from Kota Kinabalu. More eating in store for the week. Got to remember to take my Bios Life or else, I’ll be getting a new wardrobe!.

Every celebration calls for eating and food is always a pleasure. So do you eat of live or live to eat?
