Verify if or be sued in court
One of Malaysia’s famous bloggers Raja Petra Kamaruddin or RPK for short, just lost a RM 7 million court case for slander. Here is the article that appeared in The Star on Wednesday 26 March 2008.

So to all bloggers and mass mailers, just be careful that any information you wish to share, can be verified by some physical evidence or comes from a reputable source.
We get so caught up on the internet, that sometimes fiction becomes the truth if we hear others speak about it or we read multiple emails from different souces - much the same as scams.
Just be safe rather than sorry and if unsure, you can quote what others have written, and make a note that you write for clarification and advice to confirm, if the quoted article is true.
